
Professer Tabibi
Registered Specialist in Oral Surgery
Since qualifying in 1974 from Liverpool, Professor Tabibi’s clinical work has progressed from a long-spanning career in general and cosmetic dentistry to undertaking specialist practice in the areas of Oral Surgery and Implantology.
Since qualification, he has had attachments at various hospital, and worked as a clinical assistant to Richard Lloyd (Maxillofacial Surgeon) at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Professor Tabibi has been placing Implants since 1989, and also has experience of chin grafts and sinus lifts.
His interest in, and passion for, the subjects of Dental Implantology and Oral Surgery not only prompted him to obtain his own Master’s degree, but also incited him to provide other colleagues with the opportunity to further develop their own interests and training in the area.
Alongside his clinical work, Professor Tabibi also established a Dental Implant Training Centre for colleagues wishing to establish themselves as Dental Implantologists, which he ran on a non-profit basis for 8 years, up until his proposal to UCLan to run the course as a University-validated Postgraduate programme. In 2002, his contributions both clinically and educationally
Professor Tabibi developed 10 Dental from a one-man practice to a multi-clinician, multi-specialism practice. The practice is now a successful 5 dentist, 3 hygienist dental practice providing patients with routine dental care, cosmetic dentistry and specialist dentistry of the highest standard.
