Facial Enhancement

Natural enhancement treatments will make an enormous difference to your appearance. Whether you want to eliminate facial wrinkles and fine lines, create a fuller face or enhance your lips, visit the North West Facial Enhancement Clinic.

Reduction of wrinkles and age lines creates a happier and younger look. This specialist clinic complements the dental services we offer providing treatments not only for the teeth and smile, but for the whole face.

How can the signs of ageing be treated?

Youthful skin is rich in Hyaluronic Acid. As we age, the distribution and function of Hyaluronic Acid in our skin gradually change, leading to the characteristic signs of aging.

With products Restylane or Juvederm, which are natural Hyaluronic Acid gel materials, smoothing of wrinkles and fine lines on the skin can be achieved more naturally.

These materials work by enhancing your skin’s own stocks of Hyaluronic Acid, directly adding volume to either soften the signs of aging or enhance your features.

Restylane and Juvederm are injectable fillers, which should always administered by a trained, medically qualified practitioner.

What can Restylane and Juvederm be used for?

They can be used for the smoothing of wrinkles and fine lines, or alternatively can be used for facial contouring – for example plumping of lips.

Facial Enhancement treatment can be used around the mouth and eye area, on the forehead, on the lines between the nose and mouth, on the cheeks and chin area and on the lips.

How can the signs of ageing be halted?

Vistabel® (commonly known as Botox®) which can only be used by trained members of the medical profession, is a product that can halt the ageing process by preventing wrinkles from forming as a result of movement of the face (ie excessive frowning).

How does Vistabel® / Botox® work?

Our facial expressions change because the muscles in the face contract or relax. This is caused by the brain sending a signal via our nerve endings that we want to, for example, frown or laugh. When Botox® is injected into a specific muscle it blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles in the face. This means that the nerve ending cannot tell the muscle to move. This is not a permanent condition, however, but it will last for around 3 – 4 months.

After Botox® injections, the skin around the area which has been treated will look smooth and less wrinkled; but the rest of your face will not be affected. Botox® allows the untreated areas of your face to move as normal. After a while, most patients will notice that the lines and wrinkles around the treated areas will continue to become less deep and pronounced.

How many appointments will I need?

Following a consultation appointment, at which the clinician will discuss with you the most appropriate treatment, you will then attend for an appointment to have the injections administered. If necessary, you may also have a top up appointment anywhere between 4 and 12 months after the first treatment depending upon the material used.
